Description

India is home to an estimated 6.8 million artisans, but the country's share of the global markets for craft, accounts for less than 2%. According to data, India's handicraft export size has shrunk with a Y-o-Y decline of 20% in the Financial year 2022-23. With the surplus fancy mass produced decor items that bag a cheaper price than the precisely crafted handmade goods, artists have been losing their share of the market, despite their craft having its own raw, unique and authentic appeal.

Today, we have macrame artist "Mrs.Sanpreet Mittal", who is also the founder of the renowned Macrame handmade goods and home decor supply store "Dhaagewaali" who is going to share her valuable insights on the topic, while also revealing her journey towards the establishment of a successful brand.
